Its finally out. After very luckily dodging the tremendously devistating Hurricane Katrina, i give you something to soothe the nerves. And to cure what ails you.

But first and foremost, why not go over to www.redcross.org and donate a few bucks to help those who are affected by the horrible destruction and chaos from Hurricane Katrina? Anything helps. =D

This time around we have a few familiar faces and some new (to De-Fi Radio) ones.

bill - Sound Scientist Picture of bill's CD coverYou might remember them from last episode with the slightly haunting Watercolors. Their first CD - so far it lacks a title - is being recorded right now. Keep checking their CDBaby page and thier Myspace site at www.myspace.com/bill to see when it is available.

They're playing at The Whistle Stop in San Diego, California September 2 at 11pm. $5 to get in there. And then you can catch them for free September 7, 7pm at the PB Bar and Grill.

Halloween, Alaska - Drowned Picture of Halloween Alaska's new CDFrom their new CD Too Tall to Hide coming out in September. This song has been released for podcast play FIRST. Even before radio stations get it!! That means you get to hear it first!! You're so ahead of the curve. =)

Find out more about Halloween Alaska at title="Halloween, Alaska's site">www.halloweenalaska.com and listen to some tracks over at their MySpace site, www.myspace.com/halloweenalaska

See Halloween, Alaska for free at at the second annual South Park Music Festival September 9 at 5pm. Or join them in their hometown on Spetember 10, 6pm at First Avenue in Minneapolis to help celebrate the release of their second disc, Too Tall to Hide.

Dylan in the Movies - August MoonPicture of DitM CD cover Another excellent track fro mthe forthcoming CD Feel the Pull. Dylan in the Movies was able to tap the vocal talents of Tanya Donelly (Throwing Muses, Breeders, Belly) for "August Moon" and last episode's "Better Days." No stranger to the public (music from Brian Sullivan's first solo CD Don't Postpone Joy was featured in the WB's Dawson's Creek and Summerland), Brian Sullivan, along with an ever-changing cast of characters, aims to pull you in with their rising and falling orchestral arrangements and poetic lyrics.

Hear more of their tracks over at the MySpace site: www.myspace.com/dylaninthemovies

46 Bliss - In a Long Time46 Bliss pictureFrom their second, self-titled CD, 46bliss blows away any prejudices you might have about pop music. Not your standard pop this trio pulls out all the stops on the subway from your ears to your brain. Speaking of subways, this band gets their name from "an obscure New York City subway stop."

Their music has been featured on many television shows, inlcuding Veronica Mars, Johnny Fox, and Joan of Arcadia.

To find out more, visit their website www.46bliss.com. You can buy their songs at mp3tunes.com or their albums at CDBaby.com

The Helio Sequence - Everyone Knows EveryonePicture of The Helio SequenceTrack 5 on their latest CD Love and Distance. The Helio Sequence has been on Accident Hash and Insomnia Radio before but i feel this song needs special attention. Especially since it is that back to school tim of year. Get their CDs over at

Veda - The Falling Kind Picture of Veda Veda (on Second Nature Recordings) was formed in 2004 in Kansas City, Missouri. This rock quartet has very dedicated underground following after only one year of existence. This just goes on to prove that dedication and hard work are the basis for becoming a successful band.

This track comes from their Weight of an Empty Room CD.

And thats going to do it for this episode of De-Fi Radio. Thanks to Courtney Dean for the background music you've been hearing and to Ben Taylor for the site redesign and for pointing me to Veda. Take care and stay tuned.
